For the past 4 months I’ve been on the hunt for blue and white ikat pillows. More specifically these couldn’t-get-any-better-if-they-tried Madeline Weinrib Collins Ikat Pillows.
After first seeing these beauties steal the spotlight in an Elle Decor pic of a living room (below), I have been on a moderate to highly obsessed hunt to track them down and wrap my arms around their crisp sophistication and squeeze the loving right out of them. And I had all but given up on this relentlessly reoccurring dream until earlier this week when I gave up. Literally. Then, as if the universe felt my moody blues kicking in, the source was revealed — along with my embarrassing failure to substitute the word “indigo” for “blue” or “navy” or “cobalt” in my (at least) twice daily internet scours.
Nevertheless, fate or failure aside, my world is now happily opened to what can only be called the exquisite textiles of Madeline Weinrib. And as luck would have it, my #dreamcometrueclient happens to have a little thing with blue and white herself and I will finally get to wrap my arms around these baby blues, and yes, I will probably smell them too.
