While spending last month designing and decorating NiCasa Showroom in downtown Los Angeles for my friend and NiCasa owner, Nicole, I was reminded of a little motto of mine, when in doubt, spray it gold. I said it so often after hauling in truckloads of treasures that by the end of the week Nic herself was saying it in anticipation of my “plan” and I was no longer being met with the quite the same level of resistance over the idea. Or the sound of “Ok…sure…if…you…think…that…will…work?” Why? Because it did work and I made a believer out of her in record time. 
So when in doubt, spray it gold — and spray it gold we did — matte gold, shiny gold and rose gold too. We sprayed new stuff, old stuff, my stuff, her stuff and all sorts of repurposed stuff too. We didn’t discriminate on size, shape, material or matter and lucky for us, the paint didn’t either. And by the time we were done, a bright and shiny, glossy and golden hue sparkled as far as the eye could see. Better still, it looks like a million bucks in a million different ways in all about 3 golden shades!
And by raise of hands here, who doesn’t want to live (or work) in a million bucks — where wealth adorns the walls, and the shelves and the tables and the desks and the everywheres in between? All with a can of spray paint.
So, talk about an instant upgrade to your space and your attitude, with a can, some paint and a little aerosol! In under and hour you can live in luxury (or appear to anyway) without changing your current address, boxing up your beloved belongings or saying farewell to all your favorite neighborhood gems. You can simply take your decor and your digs to the next level and let all that glitters be gold, or silver or platinum and let your outlook be nothing but shiny and new as well. 
Factor in that you can spray just about anything in today’s crazy DIY world we call now, and that it’s so easy you could do it in your highest of heels without so much as breaking a nail and you’ll make “spray it gold” your motto too! Just drop all the DIY disaters of the (your) past and rekindle your relationship with a can of paint. And fear not, if it has a surface, someone has designed a paint that will make it shine or a primer that will make it stick and don’t be shy. Introduce yourself if need be to middle man primer and make him your new BFF for a nominal feel. And then go for it, not only will your stuff look more expensive but your space and your energy will be in better company and you’ll find it easier to set the mood for what you most desire. 
But before you do, simply rejoice. A can of spray ’till your dreams come true paint costs less than 10 bucks for a fancy can and under 20 for an even fancier brand and you too can be be King Midus for less than your lunch! So get happy, (get outdoors if possible) and bring on the bling! And remember, wealth is a feeling more than a destination and feeling wealthy can and will ultimately lead to nothing but more wealthy! Be bold and creative, happy and wealthy and live in gold and abundance.
